Help from the Spirit Realm

When I first started on a path of mystery and magick, I was drawn to Native American Shamanism. I lived in the US and my family had a cabin in the mountains which was rich with Native American traditions. 

I was introduced to Native American totems through the Kachina which are found in the Western Pueblo region and home to tribes such as the Hopi and Zuni. These dolls are representative of powerful spirit beings that bring aid to individuals in the tribe. They represent anything from a thunderstorm to an animal or insect.

I loved the varied guises, colours, forms and textures of them but mostly loved the idea of having help from the spirit world.  I could ask them for protection, healing or to aid me in communicating with another. They became my allies and friends. So it was no surprise to find Raven waiting for me on my first Shamanic journey.
