The path

Many years ago, I had the privilege to meet a woman who would become a mentor, sister, mother, teacher and friend. 

She had walked a long and profound spiritual path and was a powerful shaman in her own right. Red Eagle Pathwalker bestowed on me a medicine bag she created for my "Year and a day" dedication and initiation.

She had woven intentions, magick, love, protection into its creation and filled it with all that she hoped, dreamed and knew from within. Her deep intuitive place provided the answers of what I would need for my journey walking forth as RavenStar Pathwalker.

It still hangs around my neck, resting just at my solar plexus, my place of power. The soft leather and beaded fringe worn with the years of use, are a reminder of its presence. The tingle of the magick still vibrates against my skin. When not around my neck, it hangs next to my bed while I sleep.

The contents are lovingly emptied and set out to cleanse and recharge with the light of the full moon. At dawn I gather the pieces of crystal, stone and amulets and bless each one as it is returned to the bag. Before I draw it closed, I add a few fresh grains of salt for protection, say a prayer of intent and place it around my neck.

All those years ago my teacher, mentor and friend shared her knowledge of making such powerful and beloved talisman. It is with this knowledge, love, respect, magick, power and intent that I do so for you.
